SAAD SATTAM AL-SHAMARI

History
Saad has spent most of his football career playing for Al Gharafa Sports Club and now shoulders the responsibility of the club captaincy, a responsibility which he enjoys and takes inspiration from.
In 2003, Saad looked to gain some European playing experience when he signed for Danish Superliga side Esbjerg fB (EFB) Club.
Saad is a regular member of the Qatar National Team and has not yet given up on qualification for 2010 World Cup.
Saad admires the skills of Brazilian Clemerson of Al Gharafa as well as the playing styles of the legendary former European player of the year and FIFA world player of the year Luis Figo of Portugal, twice runner up for FIFA world player of the year Lionel Messi of Argentina is considered by Saad as “simply the best”.
His goals for his personal development are to finish college which is why he is applying to continue his university education. Career-wise, Saad’s aim is to captain Al Gharafa to victory in their Asian Champions League campaign in the 09/10 season where they will represent Qatar as club champions. Saad’s worst moments are when his team loses a game.
