Swiss international sportswear manufacturer Burrda is pleased to announce that it has signed a four year kit sponsorship deal with The Scarlets. This is the company’s fifth deal in the past four months, its second Rugby Union club and the first Welsh team.
The contract will see Burrda supplying The Scarlets’ official kits as well as all training cloths and off-field apparel for the region's Magners League, Heineken Cup and LV=Cup fixtures.
2010 is proving to be a pivotal year for Burrda in the UK, having already clinched deals with English Premier League football club Wolverhampton Wanderers and Guinness Rugby Union Premier League runners up the Northampton Saints; alongside deals with Watford and Leicester City football clubs. Although this is its first move into mainstream European sport, Burrda earned its stripes by supplying the kits to both the Kuwaiti and Qatari national football teams.

We’re conscious about growing in a very natural way, through supporting clubs that share our values of challenging yourself to achieve your very best. “All of our partnerships have focused on clubs that have a strong heritage, work ethic and most importantly a loyal fan base. We understand that clubs are nothing without their fans and so we were immediately drawn towards The Scarlets. Hopefully we can help spur them on to victories in the Magners League this year.”

The brand new Home and Away kits for the 2010/2011 season will be revealed on August 12 at a special kit launch event at the Parc y Scarlets and available to purchase from the Scarlets shop from the 11 September game against Connacht. This new deal continues to show Burrda’s commitment to challenge the other leading sports brands, concepts and design through innovative performance sportswear.
